Biography

I was born in Wurzburg, Germany. Being a military brat, I have had the opportunity to travel the world and meet new people. This is the main reason why I’m so social. Because I have traveled, I never had the opportunity to be stable until I came to Tallahassee, Florida in 2005.
I started my career journey by attending Florida A&M University with hopes of building myself into a more intellectual and diverse student. As a public relations student at FAMU, I done nothing else but over achieve and market myself to others as one of the elite students on campus. I was an editor for The Famuan, FAMU’s award winning newspaper, three of my college years. I had to work through long and strenuous hours, but I continued to endure all the obstacles that came in my way. Working for The Famuan newspaper gave me a glimpse into the challenges and stress that I would face in the world outside of college. It also allowed me to know how the media works to better my career in public relations.

I was also an associate of PRodigy Public Relations Firm, a student-run PR firm on FAMU’s campus. In PRodigy, I have helped publicize the Florida Classic, a college football event, for two years. I was the home game workgroup leader on the Florida Classic account in Prodigy and picked to intern for the Florida Classic in Orlando last year.

I took advantage of the resources around me in college and built up my resume. Through out my collegiate career, I have accomplished much by doing work for many different public relations campaigns. One of my endeavors includes the Rattler Recycling Initiative, which is a program to increase the awareness about recycling on campus. In this campaign, I organized the 2008 homecoming football cleanup. I have also worked on the TubetheVote campaign, which is a Web site that gave information to people about the 2008 presidential race. Now, I’m currently in graduate school at Florida State University, and I‘m sure this is the beginning to only my next journey in my life.
